Patak's Curry Pastes make excellent marinades, used on their own or blended 50:50 with plain yogurt. Marinate meat then bake, BBQ or grill.
Suggested Recipe: Masala Chicken Curry
Serves 2
Ingredients: 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil 1 Medium Onion, Diced 60g - 1/5 jar Patak's Garam Masala Curry Paste 250g Diced Chicken Breast 200g Fresh or Canned Chopped Tomatoes 2-3 Fresh Curry Leaves (optional) 2 tsp Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaf (optional) 1/2 tsp Coarse Ground Black Pepper Sugar to Taste
Method:
1. In a medium sized pan, gently fry the onions in oil until golden.
2. Stir in Patak's Garam Masala Curry Paste, add tomatoes, sugar and half of the chopped coriander. Mix well, Add a little water if needed, cover pan and simmer on a low heat for 10mins.
3. Add fish steaksand spoon over sauce. Cover and cook for a further 10-15mins on a low heat..
Serve garnished with the remaining chopped coriander leaf and black pepper. Equally delicious with chicken, beef, lamb or vegetables. |
