| | | | Product Information | | This Merkur HD Straight Safety Razor is by far the most popular of Merkur Razors. It is known as 34C or also known as #178. This is the razor that men the world over have learned to shave with for nearly one hundred years.
HD, or Heavy Duty, refers to the 3.25 inch handle which is fatter and a little heavier in weight than the other Merkur Classic Style Razors. It does have the same overall length as the regular handle but has a little more substance. It is a two piece razor when disassembled - meaning that the handle is permanently attached to the Straight Bar forming one piece and the razor head screws to it via a knurled nut at the bottom of the handle. Unscrew to clean and replace blades.
The same traditional technology found on many of the vintage double-edge razors. The handle has a crosshatch tooling that gives a non-slip grip and the entire razor is polished chrome. |
